About Us
Johan van de Vyver Attorneys was established in 2003. Our professional team consists of highly experienced attorneys specialising in a wide range of legal areas. They are assisted by a diligent support team who are highly capable in their different administrative roles.

Our professional team has more than 40 years’ experience specialising in road accident fund claims, personal injury claims and medical negligence as well as various other legal matters.
Meet Our Expert Attorneys
JOHAN VAN DE VYVER
Johan obtained his B Proc and LLB Degrees from the University of Pretoria.
He was admitted as an Attorney in 1999 and was an associate with Rooth & Wessels Inc and Macrobert Inc.
He established Johan van de Vyver Attorneys in 2003. He has experience in third party matters, personal injury claims, commercial litigation and insurance matters.
RIANA GOUWS
Riana obtained her BLC, LLB, and LLM Degrees from the University of Pretoria.
Riana was admitted as an Attorney in 1998 and practiced as an Associate Director at Rooth & Wessels Inc until 2006.
She joined Johan van de Vyver Attorneys in 2006. She has experience in personal injury claims, medical negligence and third party matters, matrimonial litigation and High Court litigation in general.
KARIN MORTIMER
Karin obtained her BLC and B Proc degrees from the University of Pretoria. She was admitted as an attorney in 2000 and practiced as an associate at Goodman & Jacobs, a director at Loubser, Van der Walt & Mortimer, an associate director at Fourie Fismer Attorneys and a senior associate at Dyason Attorneys.
She joined Johan van de Vyver Attorneys in 2014. Karin has experience in third party claims, personal injury claims, medical negligence, divorce proceedings, environmental law and insurance matters.
LAURISE PRETORIUS
Laurise Pretorius is a Candidate Attorney at our firm who has obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree.
Laurise has completed her LLB degree at the University of South Africa in 2022. She has four years of experience in the legal field.
She is specifically interested in Litigation, Labour Law and Banking Law.
TENICKE ELS
Tenicke Els is a Candidate Attorney at our firm who has completed her LLB degree at the University of Pretoria, in 2022.
She has a keen interest in Criminal Law, Medical Law and Litigation.
